The archived version of a party web site may differ
slightly from the site as it appeared on the download (archiving) date.
When archiving takes place, certain technical modifications are required:
- For the purpose of presentation in the archive, internal links in
the web sites have been modified.
- In the case of external links, the intermediate page is generated
with a note, which reads as follows in Dutch (English translation in
brackets):
'De pagina waarnaar hier wordt gelinkt bevindt zich buiten de
gearchiveerde site. Mogelijk bestaat deze pagina niet meer, of bevat
hij niet (meer) dezelfde informatie als op de datum van downloaden.'
(The page to which this link relates is outside the archived site. It
is possible that the page no longer exists, or no longer contains the
information it contained when it was downloaded for archiving).
- Each publicly accessible page of the site is archived, with the
exception of pages that are excluded by the webmaster using the file robots.txt.
- Certain interactive sections of sites have not been archived (e.g.
search engines and chat boxes).
- Extensions other than '.htm' and '.html' (e.g. '.asp') have been
converted to '.html'.
- All files which were already in the archive and have not changed
since the last download are linked by so-called soft links from
their new location to the previous existing file. This means that only
one copy of a file is stored in the archive.
- Each year, all party sites are integrally downloaded, i.e. without
modifications and without external links. This means that a single,
authentic version of the web site is available each year.
